GNOME vs. KDE

February 20, 2007

On the ongoing KDE vs GNOME battle on OSNEWS.

the whole GNOME vs. KDE things just about two different things:

  1. User vs. Developer (Power user)
  2. “Sit and go” vs. “Tweak and ride”

which are actually the same. KDE is beautiful and powerful for developers while GNOME is more biased towards creating a simple GUI that works for 80% of tasks of 80% of people. That’s all.

P.S.: some home reading.
